A Grade 1 raced over 2m 4f, and the market makes this a bit of a repeat of the Scilly Isles Novices’ Chase from Sandown in February where we saw Defi Du Seuil beat Lostintranslation and Vindication. They are now 11/4, 3/1 and 8/1 for this one. It’s worth nothing that the winner of that race has gone on to record Cheltenham results of 35F222 in this race though – very often beaten by an Irish runner.

Vindication looked like missing the festival for a while, and it’s telling that he’s here and getting such rave reviews from home – a big race is expected from him – prior to that third place he was unbeaten.

From Ireland perhaps Voix Du Reve could be one to watch - Willie Mullins has fine pedigree in this race, but we prefer another of his runners in the shape of Real Steel - he's won with plenty in hand on his last two appearances so looks well priced at 13/2 with Marathon. Plenty of other firms are 6/1 as well.

For a longer shot, Mengli Khan will have to handle a step up in trip for this, but we goes well on the soft ground and was a credible fourth in the Supreme 12 months ago.

1pt e/w Real Steel at 13/2 (Marathon 1/4 123)

1pt e/w Mengli Khan at 16/1 (Bet365 1/4 123)

*Betway are offering their 1st / Last Race £10 back on this race, so well worth a go*
