Tranmere look to have timed their late season run pretty much perfect, with seven wins on the spin catapulting them to fifth in the table on 67 point. They are surely safely into the play-offs now, but might yet eye an automatic promotion shot if they can win their match at Oldham on Tuesday.

They have a seriously tough run in, so this might be their last opportunity for a couple of cheap points with four of the other five in the top six still to play in their final six matches. That could yet work out in their favour of course.
Oldham welcome them to Boundary Park park under the caretaker charge of Pete Wild - his second spell in charge and their third different manager this season. It's hard to see him commanding too much respect having been overlooked for the full-time job at the expense of Paul Scholes who lasted just seven games. Wild has won five of nine in charge however over both spells which is far from a bad return.
Tranmere however look a well organised unit now - winning seven on the bounce and conceding just two goals in their last 855 minutes of football. It's quite the record, and they also have in-form striker James Norwood absolutely hammering them in. He's got 89 goals in just 158 starts for Tranmere and has now scored 11 in his last 12.
Tranmere have to be backed at 19/10 or 15/8 with a host of firms in this one as they look convincingly the better side right now, while the 13/8 on Norwood getting stuck into the goals also looks long.
2pts Tranmere to beat Oldham at 19/10 (General)
2pts Norwood to score at anytime at 13/8 (Bet365)
