Partick Thistle are fighting for their lives at the bottom of the Championship, and there are reasons to believe they could give themselves a big boost at a decent price this weekend.

Chalked up at 15/8 with Bet365, they will be seeking their 7th home league win of the campaign - and have won six of their last 12 matches in all competitions now. That run included a draw and a defeat against Hearts, and they ran out 3-0 winners at Morton last week.

Dunfermline were on a decent little run in February and March, but have now lost back-to-back matches against Dundee Utd and Ayr and they are now just 5-2-5 over their last 12. Goals have been the big problem - they have only scored more than once in one of their last 11 matches.

2pts Partick to beat Dunfermline at 15/8 (Bet365)

Ayr v Inverness is becoming somewhat meaningless now with both sides well adrift of leaders Ross County, although it's arguable that Ayr are the most motivated with a couple of games in hand. They are facing an inform Inverness though and will need to defend hard.

The Honest Men should keep things tight. 14 of their last 20 matches have ended "Under 2.5 Goals, while no fewer than 10 have gone "Under 1.5 Goals". There have been more goals in Inverness matches, but this feels like it has the makings of a tight affair. We'll back both under lines for split stakes.

1pt Under 1.5 Goals at 27/10 (UniBet or 888sport)

1pt Under 2.5 Goals at 5/6 (General)

Finally, Falkirk are only a fraction of odds-on for their match with Alloa, which is surely too long against a side who are free-falling out of the division if they maintain their current coordinates.

Alloa are now 3-1-8 over their past 12 matches, although they did grab an all-important (and unexpected) win over table-topping Ross County last weekend. The shot data suggests it was a pretty lucky win - they face 17 shots and produced just seven of their own.

Falkirk by contrast have hoisted themselves off the bottom with a terrific run which has seen them lose just once in their last 12 - a 4-7-1 run. The solitary defeat came away at Ross County - a game they actually won the shot came in!

2.2pts Falkirk to beat Alloa at 10/11 (General)
