Just a point split the four play-off qualifiers in the Isthmian Premier League this season, so the fact that this one is 2nd v 5th is hardly significant. It also means both sides hit the end of the season at a full on gallop with no opportunity to rest players in the run in.

If the division had been a horse race, then whilst Dorking were the standout "class 1" runner, Carshalton would have been king of the "stayers" - finish the season in tremendous form. Over their last 15 league matches they won 11 and drew a further two, while they have enjoyed home advantage, winning their last eight on the trot and scoring 23 goals in the process.

In fact, one noteworthy fact is that they have scored 2+ goals in 12 of their last 13 matches on home soil (and 17 of thier last 21) - the last time they failed was actually against Merstham!

Merstham finished the season with a final 15 game run of 7-2-6, so far less impressive, and we have to be firmly with Carshalton in a division which produces so few draws (just 22% of matches). 21/20 is available with Betway which is the wrong side of the coin flip in my view.

2pts Carshalton to beat Merstham at 21/20 (BetWay)

2pts Carshalton to score over 1.5 Goals at Evens (Will Hill)
