Plenty of dead-rubbers around in the Championship, so thinking through each of the fixtures is imperative this week.

Wigan are odds-against to beat Millwall, which looks a generous price. Both sides are safe from the drop , which should open things up, but Wigan's home form (10-8-4 and a +8 goal difference) compares favourably to Millwall's away record (3-5-14 and -14 goal difference)

The Latics have also lost just once in eight matches, while the opposite is true of Millwall, with just a single win in their last eight, and three defeats. Millwall are reporting that Aiden O'Brien, Jed Wallace, Ben Marshall, Ben Thompson and Shaun Hutchinson are all out and could hand debuts to three teenagers.

It's entirely likely there will be some shuffling of the pack at Wigan as well, but at odds-against prices, they will surely be the more motivated to finish the season on a high with a win.Although the sample is small, if you'd backed the home side in all 42 dead rubbers played in the Football League in the last four weeks of last season, you'd have returned a handy 25% profit......

Rotherham have already been relegated, while Middlesbrough can still qualify for the play-offs if they can better Derby's result and stay ahead of Bristol City. Everyone is therefore backing Boro as the most motivated side. Everyone except us that is.

Rotherham have been playing under pressure all season, and now that relegation has been confirmed they may just relax into this one and become the villains in the Teeside narrative. With seven wins at home versus just one away, they certainly enjoy playing in front of their own fans, and it hasn't been their home form which has condemned them to League One football next season.

Boro may have won four of their last five, but with those wins coming against Bolton, Hull, Stoke and Reading it doesn't carry huge credibility, and we could easily rattle off an opposite statistic of seven defeats in 11 outings.

Rotherham are out to 19/5 now with Bet Victor - surely long enough for a bet?

Finally, it's likely that James Shan will make changes to his West Brom squad for the visit to Derby this weekend. EFL rules state that a team must name a minimum of 10 outfield players from their previous matchday squad on fixtures played this late in the season, but that still gives plenty of opportunity for invention and rotation.

Derby County have won 12 of their 22 home matches under Frank Lampard this season, while West Brom's best form has been at home, so they are more than beatable on the road.

With little motivation to win this one (they would need to win, and Leeds lose at Ipswich), West Brom surely won't be at full gas here, and Derby simply have to win to ensure a shot at the Play-Offs with both Boro and Bristol City snapping at their heels.

With five wins and five draws from their last 11 Championship matches, form isn't a problem, while Millwall are the only team to win at Pride Park since early November - a 14 match unbeaten sequence.
