Forest Green v Tranmere

We wrote in our League Two Play-Off preview of our faith in Forest Green, and despite defeat in the 1st leg, we remain very much in their corner ahead of the 2nd leg.

The hosts finished the season 8-goals better off than Tranmere, and in much stronger form closing out the season - collecting 13pts from their last six matches compared to just 6pts for Tranmere.
All that remains true, and it could be that Tranmere's biggest Achilles heel remains open to attack - their away form. Micky Mellon's side won 14 matches at home this season - the most of any side in the division, but just six away. Only Crewe won fewer of any side in the top 15.
Of course Forest Green come into this with Gavin Gunning now missing out after his 15th minute dismissal in the first leg, but that also suggested Tranmere were there for the taking - a 1-0 win against a side playing with ten-men for 75 minutes hardly instills confidence.
Forest Green are 11/10 to win the match with Ladbrokes and 7/4 to qualify for the final with the same firm, and Coral. Tranmere may well rue their inability to finish the job at the first time of asking.
3pts Forest Green to beat Tranmere at 11/10 (Ladbrokes)
1pt Forest Green to qualify at 7/4 (Ladbrokes)
