St Mirren v Aberdeen

While most people will be tuning in for Man United v Chelsea, Leicester v Wolves or Rangers v Hibernian, we're turning our attention to the less fashionable St Mirren v Aberdeen, where the away side look like a value proposition on Sunday.

St Mirren have started the season in terrible form - just one win from five outings so far, which is must more concerning when you consider the opponents in that run. They opened the season with a 3-2 home defeat to Championship Dunfermline in the League Cup, before quickly getting a win over League Two Edinburgh.
They then lost on penalties to Scottish Lowland side East Kilbride, before being held 0-0 by League Two Albion - made to look even worse given Albion lost 6-0 to Dunfermline in the group, and have conceded 17 goal in their opening seven matches of the season.
They kicked off the SPL last week with a 1-0 defeat at Hibs. Things look difficult for the side who lost 12 of their 19 home matches last season. In games against Top 6 sides, they recorded just 1-4-13, and 1-1-7 at home.
Aberdeen by contrast record 11 wins, 4 draws and 3 defeats to bottom six sides, with their away record reading 6-1-1.
I'm never really a fan of team match-ups, but if you are, then it's worth noting that St Mirren have failed to win against Aberdeen in the last 19 meetings - dating back to 2011.
It's also worth nothing Sam Cosgrove's recent form. He took off last season, but this campaign has been all about the youngster - who has netted eight in six so far this season, including a brace on the opening day of the regular season. He has faced St Mirren three times before, scoring in each of those matches (four in total) so appeals at 6/4 to score at anytime.
4pts Aberdeen to beat St Mirren at 17/20 (UniBet)
2pts Sam Cosgrove to score at anytime at 6/4 (UniBet)
