Marcel Granollers have won both meetings with Italian Lorenzo Sonego, and looks value to make that a hat-trick on Tuesday. Despite being ranked 43 places lower in the ATP rankings, he’s a comfortably more accomplished player on Hard Courts. In fact, looking at the surface specific points races, Sonego has won just 18pts from 3 events, while Granollers has 421 from 11 competitions over the past season.

Career-wise, Sonego has played just 16% of his matches on hard courts – with a 37-24 record overall in those. Granollers by contrast has played over 30% of his matches on hard courts, with a 180-133 overall record.

It’s not a huge play with Granollers now into his twilight years, but he’s worth a couple of quid to teach a young man a lesson in this one.

1pt Granollers to beat Sonego at 6/4 (Paddy Power)
