It’s entirely possible that East Fife have benefited from a run of five consecutive home games, but nonetheless it’s impossible to ignore that they have hit eight goals in back-to-back matches against Raith and Airdrie. Neither are mugs, and it has to bode very well for the season ahead. They are already looking handy on the shot ratios as well – banking 57% of shots and 63% of shots on targets.

They travel to Forfar this weekend who have only conceded a single goal in four league matches, but who are also pretty light in attack – posting just 39 shots in four matches – only Montrose have a less effective front line based on the opening few fixtures. Ratio wise. Forfar are at just 44% shots and bang on 50% in on target efforts, and its hard not to give East Fife a chance of a win here.
With 33.3% of League One fixtures won by the away side last season, this is clearly a league where home advantage counts for less than usual, so a play on the visitors beckons in this one.
2.5pts East Fife to beat Forfar at 12/5 (Bet365, WillHill)
