League One - Early Bird Pick

With several games off this weekend in League One, pickings are a little slim. We've only found a single bet ahead of the weekend at this point as a result.

Doncaster are available at 15/8 to beat Rotherham on Saturday at the Keepmoat, and that looks a big price about Darren Moore’s side, who will be looking for a fourth consecutive home victory. They have already beaten Fleetwood (3-2) and Lincoln twice (2-1 and 3-1), and surely don’t warrant being underdogs this weekend.
Rotherham have opened the season in similar form – beating AFC Wimbledon and Burton, but drawing with Tranmere and losing to Lincoln. The market generally prefers Rotherham – they are as short as fourth favourites for the title, but I’m far from convinced, with all the xG data thus far this season confirming they are about as good as they have done.
The majority of the data collectors agree that there is little between the pair. Donny have managed 55% of shots in their matches, compared to 57% for Rotherham. The Millers have definitely produced the better efforts - with a 64% SOT ratio, versus just 50% for Doncaster, but the sample size is still modest there.
There isn't enough here to put in Rotherham as strong favourites, so we'll avail the bookies of the 15/8 they are offering for early shoppers - Marathon or Bet365 are both at the top of the market.
2pts Doncaster to beat Rotherham at 15/8 (Bet365)
