We mentioned in our six game report just how well QPR have started the season – flying high in eighth is considerably higher than we had predicted at the outset, and they have an opportunity to better that placing after this weekend thanks to a home match with Luton Town.

Now Luton have won their last three on the spin, so why are we opposing them one might question? Well, the last outing was against a Huddersfield Town side looking completely lost, and without a permanent manager in place. Prior to that they played an EFL Cup match with Cardiff which meant relatively little to either party, while the one before that saw Luton collect the points against a Barnsley side who deserved more on the day.

Overall for the season, QPR have recorded a net 90-54 shots ratio (62.5%) while Luton have achieved just 67-96 (41%) and are probably lucky to have kept clear of the relegation zone so far. I’d be pretty surprised if this game didn’t produce goals as well – so far seven of Luton’s eight matches have gone “Over 2.5”, while it’s five from eight for QPR. Perhaps the “QPR to win and Over 2.5 Goals” bet could be worth backing here.

2.2pts Over 2.5 Goals at QPR v Luton at 8/11 (Will Hill)
