Getting ready for the weekend nice and early, we start up in Scotland, where Queens Park look great value to beat visitors Cowdenbeath.

Gus MacPherson's side have out-shot every opponent they have faced this season with the exception of Cove Rangers away, so it's fair to say they should probably be a few points better off than they are at this stage of the season. Nevertheless they sit in fourth place, three points behind this week's opponents.

I'm far less convinced about the merits of Cowdenbeath, despite their early points haul. They beat Brechin recently but struggled to really dominate that match against a pretty awful side. Their win over Annan was pretty fortunate as well. Overall this season their shots totals read 51-55, compared to 73-42 for Queen's Park.

With that in mind, the 11/8 with William Hill looks a great price after a bit of a drift. It may even go longer with the way the market is currently moving.

Staying with the shot data - Stenhousemuir are quoted at even money with William Hill to beat Brechin, which is frankly huge. They went off at 5/4 against Cowdenbeath recently, who are a far superior outfit to Brechin - the latter being near certainties for bottom spot.

Stenhousemuir are no world beaters, of that we can be pretty sure, but shot data of 61-69 so far this season suggests they will pick up points here and there. They have struggled to land them on target (18-31) but there is likely to be great variance there,

Brechin have posted 45-95 so far. No other side has allowed more than 72 shots against, and that was Edinburgh who were absolutely annihilated by Cove, so it's pretty skewed. Out of the 30 matches played so far in League Two, only nine have seen a side land 15 or more shots - four of which have come against Brechin.

Stenny have failed to win any of their opening three home matches in the league, but they have beaten Cowdenbeath and Edinburgh in the cup, so let's get behind them getting one on the board in the league this weekend.
