We’ve advised Dover a few times without much success, but it’s hard to discount the shot data they continue to churn out, and they are now up to fifth after beating Hartlepool on Saturday. For a side who have to travel so far for every away game, it’s surprising that they have managed to win five of their opening six away matches – they make a short trip to Maidenhead this week. Starting with the shot-data, Dover have achieved a 55% shot ratio (133-110) and 58% on-target (69-51). They will surely be up there come the end of the season and this is the sort of away game they want to be winning.

Maidenhead are flying high themselves – eighth in the division, but they have regularly been getting hammered in matches – 97 shots to 142 against this season (41%) and 46-61 on-target – 43%. They are at best a mid-table side, but with four relegation slots, it would be a brave man who completely rules out that outcome based on what we’ve seen so far.

Dover are available at 9/5 to win this one which is frankly huge. I’d be close to 11/8 here so get stuck in!

Barrow head to part-time Chorley on the back of a trio of good results. The visitors are really starting to look strong now with a 57% shot ratio and a terrific win against Solihull recently, and the short trip to Chorley comes at a great time for the side. 3-0 wins over Solihull and Ebbsfleet were impressive and they are promotion contenders this season as a result of those nine quick fire points.

Chorley have surely deserved more than the nine points they have managed so far this season, and recent points against Dover and Woking were a good follow up to their win over Stockport at the start of the month. They have leaked goals for fun this season however and that could be the telling difference between the pair in this one. Barrow are seeing money and we can see why – they remain value at 6/4 here.

Finally Halifax tackle Harrogate Town, and the hosts have to be a better side than their shaky visitors in this one. Harrogate have allowed a league high of 166 shots against this season and have looked poor lately. I saw them against Boreham Wood, and it was a truly shocking match, while they also lost at Torquay and draw at Maidenhead in recent weeks. Hardly the sort of scenes to fill Harrogate fans with the confidence they enjoyed last campaign.

Halifax have won eight of their 12 games this season, and are second in the division. It’s an absolute mystery to me how they are being offered at 29/20 in this one. They have overachieved for sure, but they are taking on a weak side low on confidence who look their for the taking.
