Inverness are a side who have been turning in some decent performances this season, although the bookies are seemingly reluctant to rate them as viable alternatives to Dundee United in the race at the top of the table. 11 goal for, with just five against has marked them out, and their 72 efforts on goal is a very healthy figure – just two shots behind Dundee Utd. Ratio wise, they have recorded 61% of shots in their matches – 72-46, and a similar ratio in on-target efforts (31-19).

This weekend they play host to Partick hoping to make it seven consecutive home wins in all competitions dating back to the start of the season. Those six preceding games have seen them score 19 goals and conceded just four.
Partick are winless in the league since the start of the campaign, with just two points from six matches, and a (-6) goal difference. They have claimed just a single clean sheet in 11 matches, although it’s worth noting they have scored in all bar one of their 12 matches this season as well.
With the exertions of a mid-week trip to Celtic on Wednesday evening, and the departure of manager Gary Caldwell still fresh (replaced by Ian McCarll on Monday), it looks a tough week to be a Partick fan. We’re taking Inverness in this one at 4/5 with Marathon.
2pts Inverness to beat Partick at 1.75
