Getting going nice and early this week, as we kick off with Scottish League Two.

Cove Rangers have started the season in wonderful form, with six wins and a draw from their opening seven fixtures, 23 goals scored and a +14 goal difference. Of course, what at that also means if you can do the math, is that they have already leaked nine goals – more than Stirling (in 9th), Elgin (8th) and both Queens Park and Cowdenbeath. Excitement is guaranteed therefore and that gives us the angle into their match this weekend.

Overall, Cove have played 14 matches this season, with no fewer than 11 of those producing “Over 2.5” goals. Among that have been six over the 4.5 mark as well, including a 4-4 with Albion!

Annan are a reasonable side at this level, but they too have looked shakey at the back – just two clean sheets in 12 matches thus far in all competitions and they have now won just once in seven matches. The 4/9 Cove looks short enough here, so given the traits of both sides, I’d much prefer to back the Cove & Over 2.5 Goals selection at odds-against with a host of layers.
