Standard Liege were hammered 4-0 in midweek in the Europa League by Arsenal, but that recent result shouldn't completely skew our view of a very capable side in their domestic league. They travel to Royal Antwerp this weekend and are over-priced at 13/5 to come home with the points.
Nine games in, Standard have scored 21 goals for just seven against, and they are right up there on the shot-ratio (67% - 118-58)) and shot-on-target ratio (70%). That dominance has been reflected in their 2nd place in the division and +14 goal difference.
Antwerp have been far less attacking, and their shot data is considerably weaker this season - 86-75 (53%) and 45-32 on-target (62%). It's looking very much like last season in fact, and it's hard to make Liege 13/5 when they look a considerably stronger side, even with the potential Europa League hangover.
