Daryl Gurney v Danny Noppert
Gurney has been enjoying the season of his life in 2019, with a win in the German Darts Championships, and a whole heap of semi-final appearances. He starts a solid favourite in this one, and justifiably so, but the 2/5 available with the bookies is too short to warrant piling in given the format here. Expect Gurney to be on top in the 180s as well, as he hits around 0.07 per leg more, that that might only equate to a single maximum so again, it's probably a match to keep the powder dry. If Gurney is on it this week though, he could very well be a bet in other matches this week - especially in a possible second-round match against Aspinall or van der Voort.
Gerwyn Price v Dave Chisnall
I'm really excited for this one. Price is playing some of the best darts in the world right now, while Chizzy's maximum abilities always ensure he pushes even the very best players all the way. Whether the challenger will have the doubling-in to keep him in the match is less certain, but it should be a cracker I'm sure.

Our model puts Chizzy well in front on the 180s and that suggests he should be around 4/5 to hit the most in this match - William Hill will give you evens so that's worth a small bet for a start off - over the past two season's Chizzy has averaged 0.35 per leg, and should be capable of staying about 0.32 despite the double-in double-out.
With the possible exception of John Henderson, there is no player more capable of hitting Double 20 than Gerwyn Price - he has finished an incredible 43% of legs on Tops over the past 18 months, while Chisnall finishes there in 33% of his legs. The 2/1 with Coral on the match ending on D20 is worth a small bet as a result as well.
1pt Chisnall most 180s at Evens (Betway, Hills)
1pt Match Winning Double to be D20 at 2/1 (Coral / Ladbrokes)
Rob Cross v Mensur Suljovic
Another massive match this, with Cross leading their series results 7-6 - the head-to-heads always worth a look when Suljovic is playing given his unconventional rhythm.
While neither player is prolific on treble 20s, they aren't shy either, with our model throwing out expediencies per leg of around 0.5 180s per leg combined (taking into account the format here). A match which went to three sets would have a huge chance of landing the Over 4.5, and it's not impossible it would land in a 2-0 match either, so the 6/5 on offer with Boyle Sports is enough value for our bet in this match.
That's going to be our only bet in this match, which frankly should need no extra excitement injected.
1pt Over 4.5 180s at 6/5 (BoyleSports)
Peter Wright v Max Hopp
The evening ends with Peter Wright versus Max Hopp. The latter has been threatening to break through for a while now, but as yet we haven't seen him deliver on his talents. In fact, recently he has only reached a single quarter-finals since May in any event and has begun dropping back down the rankings.
Peter Wright by contrast has been playing very well indeed recently. Since May he has been a World Cup of Darts winner, taken down a double header Player Championships in Barnsley in July and won the German Darts Masters. He's also reached the semi-finals of the International Darts Open, another Players Championship event, the Austrian Darts Champs, Mellbourne Masters, US Darts Masters and Dutch Darts Masters.
There should only be one winner in this one as a result - and he also has a 5-1 head-to-head advantage over Hopp. I'm going to chance Wright winning this one 2-0 at 6/5 with a few firms and hope he doesn't have any double trouble!
1pt Wright to win 2-0 at 6/5 (General)
