League One has seen a number of games postponed due to International call-ups, leading us with just eight matches going ahead.

We’ll start at Blackpool, where the Tangerines continue to over-perform, but could be set to see their luck change soon – especially after a poor 0-0 at Bolton on Monday. They face Rotherham who have lost just once in six now, and have put in recent wins against Coventry (4-0) and Doncaster (3-2).
Blackpool have been getting the results, but they have only recorded a 16-13 goal difference, and their shot data is showing just a 44% ratio, and a heavy negative corner count as opponents have kept them penned in. Rotherham by contrast have posted 58% of shots in their matches, have a 16-9 goal difference and generally look a much better side than Blackpool. At 9/5 they are worth a small bet here.
Bristol Rovers play host to MK Dons, and they shouldn’t be odds-against in this one. A 54% shot ratio is decent enough and 12 of their 18 points this season have come at home. They come into this unbeaten at home, and unbeaten in seven matches now, so they are starting to build up a head of steam.
MK Dons are the other side of coin right now, having lost five from six, and their only respite in that run was a 1-0 win over Fulham U21’s 10 days ago. They have taken just 42% of shots in their matches, compared to Rovers who have carded 55% in theirs. Form and class point to a home win in this match.
Finally, Southend have only banked four points this season, but they are too long at 2/1 when they meet AFC Wimbledon this Saturday. Southend have definitely been playing better than results have suggested and are probably no worse than Wimbledon. Their shot ratios are actually exactly the same at 42%.
You could argue that the back-to-back wins from Wimbledon suggests they have turned a corner, and it’s possible, but I’m not getting excited for them off the back of a 3-2 win over Rochdale and a 3-0 win over League Two Leyton Orient in the Trophy when their opponents brought a reserve side across London. Southend have been pretty woeful, I can’t argue on that, but the price just looks too long here given the weak opponents in front of them.
1pt Rotherham to beat Blackpool at 9/5 (Sky Bet)
2pts Bristol Rovers to beat MK Dons at 11/10 (General)
1pt Southend to beat AFC Wimbledon at 2/1 (UniBet)
