Blackpool are steadily adjusting towards a more realistic league positon after a start to the season which saw them consistently win games their performances suggested they could be losing. An eight match unbeaten spell opened the season, but since then they have won just twice in their next eight, and they goals are proving very hard to come by – scoring more than once in just one of their last seven. A recent 0-0 at Bolton certainly underlined how it’s been going.

Wycombe are the guests this weekend – a side who have lost just twice all season, with one of those in the EFL Trophy. It was certainly not what everyone expected, and in truth, they are a side who have also been outrunning their performances on a regular basis. That said, a 57% shot ratio is really decent, and compares well to Blackpool’s 46%. They have proved pretty profitable for us this season, and we’re willing to take a chance on them again in this one, and the 2/1 might not last until Tuesday.
1pt Wycombe to beat Blackpool at 2/1 (Bet365)
Just when you think Portsmouth have got themselves finally going again, they go and chuck in a silly loss at AFC Wimbledon completely out of the blue. Everything you see about Portsmouth – apart from results – suggests they are indeed the side that many thought they were pre-season, and yet they remain deep in trouble with just 13 points on the board so far. Wins have simply come at the wrong time – beating Birmingham and QPR in the EFL Cup, and Crawley and Norwich U21 in the EF Trophy.
This week Lincoln visit Fratton Park, and it’s fair to say they need a result more than most. They opened the season with four straight wins, and 12 points in the opening six matches has ensured they got rid of the early nerves, but since late August they have gone 2-2-10 and were recently hammered 6-0 at home to Oxford. A goalless draw with Shrewsbury sounded pretty awful on Friday night.
Portsmouth have claimed a 58% share of shots this season, and 54% more recently, while Lincoln have seen their season long numbers touching just 47% and dropping to 45% more lately. 10/11 is worth backing with BlackType, although better may be available potentially soon, with the market moving towards Lincoln so far.
1.1pts Portsmouth to beat Lincoln at 10/11 (BlackType)
