The Grand Slam of Darts is a terrific event, bringing together some of the top names from the PDC, the Ladies invites and also a few of the BDO's best competitors. It gives the BDO players their rare chance to prove they can mix it with the big-boys of the darting world.

We'll dive straight in with the picks on this one, and keep the analysis brief. It's all just data right?
Noppert v Harrington
Great to see young Ryan Harrington given his chance here, although when it comes to the 180s markets, you might want to give him a wide berth. Although our data only covers a few of his matches (37 legs in all) in that spell he's hit just four 180s - a rate of 0.108 per leg - among the lowest on the PDC. It could pay to back the reliable Danny Noppert to get the most maximums here.
Neither player is likely to smash in a load, so we'll also back Noppert to hit Under 1.5 180s at 11/10, and Harrington Under 1.5 180s at 4/9 here.
2pts Noppert most 180s at 19/20 (SpreadEx)
1pt Noppert Under 1.5 180s at 11/10 (Will Hill)
2.25pts Harrington Under 1.5 180s at 4/9 (Bet365, Will Hill)
Dolan v Clemens
Both players love the D16 finish, and both are ruthlessly efficient on it. Dolan goes out on D16 in 29% of his legs, while Clemens hits it in 28% of his. Throw in the odd other green finish (D4 sometimes comes to the rescue) and you get to the the point that the 7/4 offered on a green finish from BetWay is too long.
Like Harrington, Dolan is quite happy to move down onto the 19s, and his 180s rate of 0.134 is pretty weak. Clemens should proceed at a more normal rate - around 0.23 per leg, and as such the 11/10 on him hitting the most 180s in this one seems pretty decent value even over the short format.
1pt 1st Leg Winning Colour Green at 7/4 (Betway)
1pt Clemens most 180s at 11/10 (SkyBet) - Evens acceptable.
Gurney v Veenstra Gurney is well known for his 180s prowess (0.295 per leg progression), but its only a little above Veenstra (0.235 per leg) so it's worth taking a punt on the Dutchman to hit the most in this one - he's available at 13/5 to hit the most with Betfair which is too long in my view.
1pt Veenstra most 180s at 13/5 (Betfair Sportsbook)
Wright v Warren
Snakebite Wright tackles BDO man Wayne Warren. Our data on Warren is somewhat limited, but what we do have puts him in at about 0.2 180s per leg. With the match likely to last no more than seven leg's I'd be quite happy to take a chance on Under 1.5 180s here at even money with a host of layers. He's probably in for around 1.4 on average.
2pts Warren Under 1.5 180s at Evens (General)
Cross v Ashton
Again, the D16 is our friend in this one - Cross is pretty likely to win this match at a canter, so his 27.6% D16 check out over the past two seasons is crucial - he has among the lowest D20/D10 route stats on the tour, so even when he doesn't go out through 16's he sometimes finds another way of finishing - D18 isn't out of the question which then brings in the option of D9 and D4.
The 11/8 on a Green Finish here represents value with BetWay.
1pt 1st Leg Winning Colour Green at 11/8 (Betway or Hills)
